Welcome to The Quiogue Association
News - November, 2006
I am forwarding information I have received to alert you to the plans for developing campsites and RV sites on Dune Road.
On our Current Events page is a Southampton Press article outlining the debate. Please read and keep informed. There will be representatives of civic organizations outside of the Post Offices in Westhampton Beach, Quogue, Speonk, Remsenburg, East Quogue and Hampton Bays and other sites soliciting signatures for petitions to discourage these developments.
Thank you, Thelma
The purpose of our new website is to help keep you informed of neighborhood news and information. Please check back periodically for new developments that could impact our hamlet.
In addition, we have setup up a Quiogue Association Email Listserv for the purpose of providing and exchanging information among the residents of our little Hamlet. It's a way to meet, broadcast news, find out what's happening in the neighborhood, and enhance our sense of community. It is our goal to make this electronic meeting place interesting and informative, and allow to us to stay in contact year round, and enhance the Quiogue experience for all of us.
If you haven't already done so, stop by the newly refurbished Quiogue Association Community Bulletin Board (located in the parking lot of the Catholic School). It has been repaired, the grounds cleaned up and a variety of plants have been installed to give us greenery and flowers in almost all seasons. The Bulletin Board now is full of interesting information about our neighborhood, including theater programs, library events and other programs of interest. Many, many thanks to Nancy Sander who oversaw the project, selected all the beautiful plantings and even put all the information onto the Bulletin Board (with touches of Fall leaves - very pretty). Many thanks also to Priscilla Ruffin as well, and to the Westhampton Beach Garden Club.
